9-28-08 2000- Units from station 1 were alerted to peachtree rd near the landing for a pedestrian struck. First arriving units reported one fatality. E1 Officer had the command.

September 13th @1400-2000hrs Remedies will be hosting a St. Baldricks shaving party to raise money for for the St Baldricks foundation. Several members of area fire departments have pledged to shave their heads for charity. The highlight of the event will be an auction to shave HCFR Captain Tweet Brady’s beautiful hair for the locks of love program which donates the actual hair to children with cancer to make wigs. Hope to see you all at Remedies!! Remedies is located on the Hwy 17 Bypass just south of the backgate. Anyone with additional information please post it on here. Thanks

Sept 6-2245 Units from Myrtle Beach Fire were alerted to a reported apartment fire on Wedgewood St in the North End of the city. A fire extended from the origonal unit and into the cockloft of two additional units. HCFR units were brought in to stand by covering the city stations while they were tied up on the scene.

0930- HCFR Station One personnel were alerted for an overturned tractor in a ditch on Hwy 707. Personnel arrived on the scene and extricated the victim. The patient was transported by ground to GSRMC as a priority 2. BC McGarrahan had the command

8-18-08 1200- Station One units responded to the 17 Bypass North of Hwy 544 for an overturned vehicle with one trapped. Crews extricated one priority two patient. The patient was transported by ground to GSRMC.

Early this morning Horry County Medic 36 was involved in an MVA while responding to a call. The crew was not injured. The accident occured in front of their station on South Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach.

ALL firefighters are invited to attend a drop at the Boat House this Thursday August 21st at 1800hrs. The Boat House is located on the intercoastal waterway near the old pottery. We will be meeting around 1800hrs to celebrate recent hirings,promotions,and brotherhood. Hopefully this will become a monthly gathering changing location throughout the county. Members of all departments are welcome. Hope to see you there!!

1115- This was the 5th fire in the last 12 hours for Horry County Fire Rescue Personnel. This time it was in the Goretown Section (sta. 26) personnel went on the scene with smoke showing from the eaves of a church on Hwy 9. Loris Fire personnel arrived first and mounted an interior attack as personnel arrived arrived a crew was sent to the roof. Crews made quick work on the interior and had the the roof operation cease. Additional crews were brought in for overhaul. The church apparently had been renovated and used for housing. FF Branton had the Number 9 Command
