April 29, 2008 2130hrs- Units were alerted to Sioux Swamp Rd for a reported structure fire.  E8 arrived first and reported a well involved storage building with an exposure problem.  Crews deployed 2 lines to handle the exposure and bring the fire under control.  Capt. Hendrick had the Sioux Swamp Command.

A North Myrtle Beach firefighter overcomes problems at a recent structure fire.  Adapting is something a firefighter must do.  Sometimes the hydrant wrench isn’t the only tool you need to get water out of a hydrant!!

0500hrs- Station 4 units were alerted to Riverside Drive for a boat on fire. Once in the area E4 reported that the fire appeared to be on the other side of the Intercoastal Waterway at the Hague Marina. E1 was alerted and responded to find several boats in a storage area on fire. […]

1200hrs- Conway Fire units responded to the 1800blk of Wright Blvd for the reported child with his finger stuck in a gas fill tube on an automobile.  The crews dimantled the assembly to free the childs finger.  The process took about 30 mins.

4-15-08 - Units from Mullins Fire Dept. responded to a reported house fire on Grices Ferry Rd.  First arriving units confirmed a 1600sq ft. single family house well involved.  Mutual Aide was brought in from Nichols and Marion City fire assisted with a water shuttle.
